It is an add-on “Green Grid” module that intelligently schedules workload and manages power in conjunction with dynamic user demands, allowing data centers to gain an additional 5-10% energy saving. Dynamic Power Optimizer leverages Platform Enterprise Grid Orchestrator (Platform EGO) to use business policies and application energy consumption profiles to control workload and determine optimal times for server switch-off.

  • Dynamically and optimally schedules workloads to periods when energy costs are lower without compromising SLAs
  • Keeps energy costs at a minimum by dynamically powering off or hibernating underutilized hosts, and powering on the most energy efficient hosts first, when the workload demands it
