Jack Kay, Chairman
Jack Kay is Chairman of the Board of Scali. A successful high technology chief executive with experience across a broad range of industry segments, Kay joined Scali from Axsun Technologies, where he was president and CEO. Prior to Axsun, he was president and CEO of Hotline Communications, Ltd. Kay spent nine years at Phoenix Technologies, starting as vice president of sales and rising to president and CEO where he increased BIOS market share from 18% to 75% via growth and acquisition and increased market capitalization by more than 600%. Earlier in his career, Kay held senior-level sales and marketing positions at Banyan Systems, Convergent Technologies, and Digital Equipment Corporation. He holds a Ph.D. in physical chemistry and an M.B.A. in marketing.

Alexander Brühl
Alexander Brühl a Senior Partner in the communications sector, and joined Atlas Venture in 1998. He is an expert in semiconductors and wireless, data warehousing and security. Prior to joining Atlas Venture, Alexander served as Director, Corporate Marketing for R&O Software-Technik GmbH, a leading German enterprise repository vendor with a strong presence in the US. After R&O was acquired by Viasoft Inc. in 1996, Alexander served as Director, Corporate Strategies. Previously, Alexander was Founder and Managing Director of Solution Analysis Group, a German consulting and implementation firm for information management solutions.

Alexander sat on the Board of Systemonic prior to the company's acquisition by Royal Philips Electronics in 2003. Alexander holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University Munich.

Bjarne Lie
Bjarne Lie is a partner at Verdane Capital. He joined the company from PaperX, where he was co-founder and COO. At PaperX, Bjarne scaled the company from zero to sixty employees and secured €17.5 million blue-chip venture backing. Bjarne has high growth entrepeneurial experience from the oil and gas sector with Fountain Oil where he was a senior analyst. He has also held a consultancy position with McKinsey & Company in London.He has an MBA with high distinction from Harvard Business School and an MA in European Integration with high distinction from the University of Oslo/EIU Florence. Bjarne serves on the board of Scali and Global Name Registry.

Klaus-Dieter Laidig
Klaus-Dieter Laidig is Managing Partner of Laidig Business Consulting GmbH, Germany, a position he has held since 1997. Prior to founding Laidig Business Consulting GmbH, Klaus-Dieter worked for Hewlett-Packard Europe, where he was instrumental in building HP’s Computer System Business in Europe. Previously, Klaus-Dieter served as General Manager of Hewlett-Packard GmbH, Germany.

Klaus-Dieter was a member of the supervisory Board at SAP AG, Walldorf, from 1996 until 2003. Laidig serves on the board of directors at Agile Software Corp. (USA), Aldata Solution Oyi (Finland) and Comline AG (Germany). He also serves as the chairman of the board of Collax, Inc. (USA) and Heiler Software AG (Germany). Laidig received an M.B.A. from Pforzheim University of Applied Sciences in Germany.

Richard Seibt
Richard Seibt is currently focusing on open source projects and serves as an advisor to Open-Xchange, Inc. Previously, Richard served as President, Novell Europe, Middle East and Africa, where he was responsible for leading all aspects of Novell’s operations in EMEA, including enabling the integration of SUSE LINUX within the Company. Before this, Richard was Chief Executive Officer of SUSE LINUX, where he established the company as a leading Linux distributor, bringing about its acquisition in January 2004 by Novell. Earlier, Richard was an Executive Board member at United Internet AG, where he was in charge of operations for several subsidiaries as well as the internationalization of United Internet and their subsidiaries AdLINK and twenty4help. Richard began his career at IBM where he held a variety of positions in its sales, marketing and business development departments in both Europe and North America. Richard graduated from the University of Hamburg and holds a Diplom-Kaufmann degree.

Phil Weaver
Phil Weaver is the President and CEO of Nuvo Network Management, a publicly traded company and a leading provider of remote managed IT operations. He brings to Scali over 25 years experience with extensive industry knowledge across key technology sectors, including platform computing, software, systems integration and network management. Previously, Phil was President of Platform Computing, the industry leader in Grid Computing, where he built strategic partnerships with technology leaders such as IBM and Hewlett Packard, and built a strong world wide distribution and vertical industry focus. He also spent eight years at Hewlett Packard, was COO of Jetform, a leader in workflow and server based electronic forms, and spent three years as the Vice President of Business Development at Systemhouse, an outsourcing and systems integration company.
